The UK Adventure division constitutes the Exodus Travels, Trek America, Grand American Adventures & Headwater brands, and offers a diverse range of experiences to a wide range of discerning customers in multiple markets including North America and Australasia.

The marketing department covers Ecommerce, Marketing, Creative & Analytics and is devoted to creating exceptional experiences for our customers through great content, amazing user journeys and impactful multichannel marketing activity. Customer insight and performance results drive our thinking, ensuring everything we do is engaging & effective, timely & targeted and most of all customer led.
As Online Trading Manager, you will be a pivotal contributor and decision maker in the UK Adventure brands’ website strategy and day to day activity. In order to maximise sales, with relentless emphasis on customer acquisition and conversions, you will work closely with the Head of Ecommerce, the Online Merchandisers, the Head of Marketing and the Digital and Systems Team and outside suppliers to deliver continuous improvements to the website performance and customer experience across all brands and territories.

What you will be doing

• Maximise the commercial performance across all websites using Analytics data on Traffic, Conversion, Order Value and Product Performance. You will drive insights, actions and measurable improvements across all sites.
• You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of online trading to deliver continuous growth and sales optimisation in line with the commercial business plan
• Oversee and implement day to day activity to ensure growth in overall bookings as well as online bookings as a %, through increased customer acquisition & conversion.
• As a senior Product Owner of the websites, continually review the relevance and commercial potential of new areas of digital development, using A/B testing and prioritising areas for the development team to work on while leading the more junior staff in best practice.
• Work with the Search & Leads Manager and partner with Acquisition Marketing Manager to ensure we are driving high quality traffic to all sites.
• Ensure consistency of content & customer journey across the site is maintained at all times, working with the team to deliver high impact home & product pages, prioritising key content.
• Provide support to international offices for regional optimisation of websites, including updating & training on new site functionality, and deployment of promotions

Key competencies
Essential:
• A minimum of 5 years in an ecommerce environment, with experience of conversion rate optimisation, onsite merchandising and associated technology.
• Good commercial business acumen.
• Comfortable with creative concepts and how they relate to website usability
• Confident, enthusiastic and strategic with strong communication and influencing skills, able to work collaboratively across the business and to engage internal and external stakeholders.
• Expert in Google Analytics and Excel, with exemplary attention to detail and the ability to make sense of complex data
