Macs Adventure is a fast-growing adventure tour operator with offices in the UK, US and Germany - and big plans. We arrange fantastic self-guided walking, cycling and adventure holidays for thousands of customers in over 35 countries. We are currently seeking a Sales Manager, who is passionate about adventure travel, to manage our sales team and drive revenue growth in our UK business. You will do this by building and nurturing a high performing sales team, creating and delivering an ambitious sales plan, engaging with our customers and across the business. This is a management level role responsible for the sales function, including our Adventure Sales Specialists and Adventure Angels. Reporting to the Head of Customers and working alongside the management team and other talented members of the Macs team you will make a meaningful contribution to the success of the business.
As a digitally focused business, the success of Macs Adventure is driven by great customer experience throughout the sales cycle, supported by best in class digital technology. Through your dedicated team in the UK and effective use of technology you will enable us to make the most of our leads, opportunities and engaged customer base to connect more customers with authentic, transformative travel experiences and drive increased revenue.
We are looking for an experienced, ambitious sales and customer success expert with proven management, sales, digital and customer service skills. Ideally you would have honed your skills in a tour operator, travel, or B2C sales environment. A track record of managing successful sales teams and implementing effective multi-layered sales campaigns that have delivered high revenue growth is essential.
Your strengths will centre around enabling your team to reach their potential, achieving business goals and delivering fabulous customer service. You will need to thrive in an environment that nurtures a resilient pro-active approach, where the only constant is change. Equally at home delivering an innovative sales and customer experience strategy as managing a passionate team, you will understand the requirements of working to fluid and changing priorities, working with your team proactively to ensure Macs makes the most of all sales opportunities and that our high levels of customer experience are maintained. You should have a strong digital background and a demonstrable track record of implementing process and system change that delivers results for the team, customers and business.
