Swoop is expanding and we’re looking for an experienced polar specialist to help drive polar sales by expertly selling trips primarily to the Arctic. Our head office is in Bristol but we have a global team and for the right person home working is an option.
You would join a small, passionate, highly-productive team of globally-spread polar specialists; three people in the UK, one person in Argentina and one person in Australasia.

Swoop Travel is a 30-person (and growing) travel company, specialising in trips to the ends of the earth, Antarctica, Patagonia and The Arctic; extraordinary destinations that provide our customers with incredible experiences and lifelong memories.
We don’t just work in the adventure travel industry, we live, sleep, eat and breathe all things travel and adventure. Our passion is what drives our success, and although there are plenty of socials, destination-based reconnaissance trips and fun, we work hard and we love what we do. What you'll be doing
As part of a small growing team, your role will be to help drive our polar sales to achieve our growth plans. Alongside sales, you will also be responsible for helping to improve our websites, fostering close working relations with our key partners and supporting the marketing of our destinations.
The job is primarily office-based, however, at times this will require flexibility to meet suppliers, attend customer meetings and industry events, and for polar travel as part of essential destination and product knowledge growth.
Who you'll be
You’ll have an infectious passion for the polar regions, and first-hand experience is non-negotiable - we want someone with the polar regions under their fingernails. Your experience will be coupled with impeccable client facing skills, alongside excellent written and verbal communication.
You’ll be commercially aware, with some sales experience and the ability to inspire and enthuse potential customers about these incredible regions. Most importantly you will have outstanding listening skills and the intuition to understand what customers want before even they do.

This is potentially home working role, with the flexibility to choose your own workplace. We already have six geographically-spread colleagues and have the experience and technology to help bridge gaps in geography.
A competitive salary, dependent on your level of experience (plus polar sales team bonus and company bonus), 20 days holiday per annum (plus your birthday), and annual 2-3 week reconnaissance trips.
We work 9am to 6pm (local time) Monday to Friday, but we would ask for a bit of flexibility when needed, and we’ll offer the same in return. We’d also look to you to help provide out-of-office weekend cover for one weekend a month, which means being available to respond to new enquiries only (two hours a day maximum).
