Role Overview

Your impact - You will be part of an expert in-house team that oversees flight bookings for the UK, Middle East, North America and South Africa business units. You will be integral in navigating all the complexities in the world of aviation (sourcing flights / checking passport details / creating name scripts etc). The way we book flights isn't the same as booking them online or through a travel agent, we use a specialist airline group department to leverage benefits for our customers.

Day to Day 95%

Source and book over 400 group and individual flights, working to daily deadlines – this involves committing to flights, creating name scripts, issuing tickets etc. We also need you to plan ahead for up-coming deadlines

Administer all flight information to ensure that systems are kept up to date in a timely and accurate manner (confirmed flight bookings, name/date changes, schedule changes, etc.)

Communicate information and changes to relevant stakeholders

Be the primary channel of contact between World Challenge and the Travelopia flights team.

Operations Duty

Support our Operations Centre for two of weeks each year as an ‘Incident Coordinator’. This requires the management of incidents happening overseas, associated administration, and following our standard operating procedures. Operations training will be given.

Who we are looking for

  • A passionate and talented individual who has an understanding of the aviation industry
  • A detail orientated individual who embraces responsibility in undertaking a task from start to finish
  • Calm under pressure, multi-tasker and a daily deadline smasher.
  • An ability to think differently, and the confidence to share your thoughts
  • It would be beneficial if you had GDS experience (but not essential)

We are particularly keen to hear from members of the Explorers Connect community so please mention Explorers Connect in your application.
