Swoop is expanding and we’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Sales Manager to lead the Patagonia sales team with expertise, motivation and incredible people management skills. For this role we can offer a relocation package if required.

Swoop Travel is a 33 person (and growing) travel company, specialising in trips to the ends of the earth - Patagonia, Antarctica and The Arctic; extraordinary destinations that provide our customers with incredible experiences and lifelong memories.
We live, sleep, eat and breathe all things travel and adventure. Our passion is what drives our success, and although there’s plenty of socials, destination-based reconnaissance trips and fun, we work hard and we love what we do.

What you’ll be doing
This is a new role, with scope to innovate, shape and influence the future trajectory of the Patagonia Sales team, enabling it to achieve its full potential.
Using your extensive expertise you’ll provide daily management, coaching, mentoring, and motivation to a passionate team of four destination specialists, two of which are located in the US. In addition, a key part of this role is to lead by example and contribute sales of your own. On a more strategic level, you’ll also help define our sales strategy and develop an expanding global sales team.
Who you’ll be
We need a sales heavyweight who’s been there, done that and got the T-shirt when it comes leading, inspiring and developing teams to reach their full potential. You’ll have a passion for innovating and implementing sales strategy - but also a desire to contribute to monthly targets with sales figures of your own.
Whilst you don’t need to have worked in the travel industry before, you do need to have a proven track record of leading successful sales teams and a love of the great outdoors. If you can’t honestly say that’s you - this won’t be the right role. If you can, it’s definitely worth a conversation with us.

A competitive salary, dependent on your level of experience (plus Patagonia sales team bonus and company bonus), 20 days holiday per annum (plus your birthday), and annual 2-3 weeks reconnaissance trip, and the best views in Bristol. Seriously – we don’t call our offices ‘The Condors’ Nest’ for nothing. In addition, if this role floats your boat but you’d need to relocate we can discuss a relocation package.
