Business Development Executive

Lost Earth Adventures is a small, but rapidly growing UK outdoor activity provider (primarily operating across Yorkshire and Peak District) and overseas tour operator; specialising in adventurous treks and multi-activity holidays to Nepal.

We currently have a great opportunity for a Business Development Executive to join a fantastic company at a very exciting time. This is a mission critical role assisting the BDM to help them plan for business meetings and providing information and assistance on a variety of adventure industry topics.

Accountabilities

  • ‪Work closely with the Sales Team to provide data for target customers within the identified locations
  • ‪Self-generate new business meetings with target customers within identified sectors through multiple routes
  • ‪Utilise relationships with third parties to generate new business meetings
  • ‪Create and implement tactical sales and marketing activity
  • ‪Seek to establish new and innovative ways to sell Lost Earth Adventures products to B2B clients and direct customers
  • To manage all sales opportunities through the CRM and provide reports when requested
  • Qualify and development of new leads and prospects
  • Ensure all enquiries are logged into the CRM system
  • Deliver effective sales presentations through varying formats to potential clients and customers
  • Prospecting new clients through outbound sales efforts using phone, email, LinkedIn and other marketing sources

Skills

  • Excellent lead generation experience
  • Effective, concise communicator who has excellent presentation skills
  • Assertive and able to overcome objections
  • Hungry for success
  • Knowledge of CRM (Pipedrive or Hubspot – an advantage)
  • Be an excellent team player
  • Have good commercial acumen
  • The ability to work independently with a level of autonomy
  • Be an excellent problem solver and decision maker
  • Be committed to delivering outstanding customer service
  • Able to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously, prioritising the most important
  • Being able to work under pressure and to important deadlines

Desirables

  • Experience in a B2B product-based environment desirable
  • Previous experience in the adventure sales industry
  • Any NGB outdoor qualifications (ML, SPA,RCI)
  • Good knowledge of regulatory bodies (ABTA / ATOL / AALA)
  • Travel experience to Nepal

The role is based at our head office in York which is open 9am - 6:30pm Monday to Friday. A flexible approach to when you work will be needed and we’ll offer the same in return. You may also be required to provide out-of-office weekend cover and emergency contact as part of a rota. We offer a competitive salary, dependent on your level of experience, 28 days holiday per annum.
